Heavenly song contest – Deceased performers of Eurovision Song Contest in OurVision FM’s music selection

From 2023 onwards, we are preparing special musical compilations for fans of Eurovision productions and those interested in the song contest – in the first part of the “series”, we will pay tribute to the deceased performers of Eurovision Song Contest.

The European Broadcasting Union’s (EBU) long-running flagship show has been running on Europe’s public service channels for more than six decades. This long period has not only been a period of many successes, but also of many memories, created by the contesting performers themselves: as time has passed, we have had to say goodbye to our performers who have left us their careers and their work in memory of us with their deaths.

From 2023 onwards, on All Saints’ Day in November and on the following weekends, we will remember them by revisiting their songs, their achievements and their successes: the OurVision FM staff have compiled a list of the more than 100 artists who have passed away after their participation in Eurovision, who are now part of the list of all the participants in the Eurovision Song Contest (the list is bolded to indicate the artists who have died in the last year). The songs in the selection are based on the year of their original performers’ deaths in OurVision FM’s music compilation, with each artist commemorated by their most successful competition entries.
