Eurovision Stars in Budapest – Sziget Festival and more in August 2026
Budapest 2026 kicks into Eurovision mode in August, with familiar faces taking over Sziget Festival and stages across the Hungarian capital.
Sziget fever takes over August 2026 – Eurovision stars from the Island of Freedom to the end of summer
August wastes no time bringing the Eurovision spirit back to Budapest after the curtain came down on the contest in May. And this year, Eurovision fans will not have to search too hard through the Sziget Festival programme: over just three days, six acts with Eurovision or national final connections will take to stages across the Island of Freedom. From the Main Stage to Budapest Park Stage and The Buzz, there will be plenty for Eurofans to circle in their schedules.
From San Marino to Sziget’s Main Stage – Hungarian band Carson Coma took a rather unusual route into the Eurovision family when they attempted to represent San Marino in 2025 with Daddy Said No (Pre SMR25). They finished third in their Una Voce per San Marino semi-final, earning a place in the Second Chance round, although their Eurovision journey ultimately ended before the final.
A year later, the size of the stage is certainly nothing to complain about: Carson Coma will perform on Sziget Festival’s Main Stage on 12 August at 17:30.
No more dizziness: two bands well known for making it almost impossible for audiences to stand still join forces at Budapest Park’s new Sziget stage on 12 August. The Eurovision connection comes courtesy of Parno Graszt, whose Már nem szédülök (Pre HUN16) made it all the way to the final of Hungary’s A Dal 2016.
Together with Bohemian Betyars, they will take over the Budapest Park Stage by Johnnie Walker at 19:50. And anyone who misses them at Sziget will get another Budapest “second chance” in September.
Eurovision fans hardly need an introduction to ByeAlex. His Kedvesem (HUN13) became one of Hungary’s most successful Eurovision entries of the modern era, finishing 10th in the 2013 Grand Final in Malmö.
We have written about Alex and his Budapest appearances before, and this time he returns with the Slepp to the Budapest Park Stage on 13 August at 21:20. Will Kedvesem make it into the setlist? As we have said before: we will find out on the night.
Goodbye, summer? Not quite yet! Another Hungarian Eurovision code appears on the Budapest Park Stage just one day later. AWS won A Dal 2018 with Viszlát nyár (HUN18) before representing Hungary in Lisbon and qualifying for the Eurovision Grand Final.
Their Eurovision journey was closely followed by OurVision, and on 14 August at 18:20 they return to the Sziget stage. It will not be their last major Budapest appearance of 2026 either: another much bigger date awaits them in November.
Samo mi se spava? Definitely not at Sziget – Serbia sent Luke Black to Liverpool in 2023 with the dark and unconventional electronic track Samo mi se spava (SRB23). After winning Pesma za Evroviziju, he qualified for the Eurovision Grand Final and eventually finished 24th.
On 14 August at 18:30, Luke Black makes his first appearance in our Budapest programme series, performing on the DHL delivers The Buzz stage. Despite the title of his Eurovision entry, sleep probably will not be on the agenda.
Rim Tim Tagi Dim – this time at Sziget: less than two years after his first headline show in Budapest, Baby Lasagna is returning to the Hungarian capital. Marko Purišić achieved Croatia’s best-ever Eurovision result with Rim Tim Tagi Dim (CRO24), finishing second with 547 points and winning the public televote.
We already featured his previous Budapest appearance in an earlier edition of Eurovision Stars in Budapest.
This time, Baby Lasagna will bring his energetic show to DHL delivers The Buzz on 14 August at 20:00, following Luke Black on the same stage. And if one Budapest appearance is still not enough, fans will get yet another chance in December, when the End The Party tour arrives at A38 Ship.

Questo amore – Sanremo comes to MVM Dome: one week after Sziget, we travel several decades back through Eurovision history as the Stars of the Sanremo Festival take over MVM Dome on 22 August.
At the centre of the show will be Ricchi e Poveri, who represented Italy at the 1978 Eurovision Song Contest with Questo amore (ITA78), finishing 12th in Paris. In 2026, the legendary group will also be celebrating its 60th anniversary in Budapest.
The show starts at 19:00, but the evening offers much more than a Ricchi e Poveri concert. Andrea Morricone will conduct a selection of his father’s famous film scores, Maurizio Schweizer brings a Celentano tribute show, while Erox Martini appears both as host and performer. The Cinema Studio Orchestra ties the entire Italian spectacular together.

You said Parno Graszt was coming too – Dánielfy in Budapest Park: one of the standout newcomers of A Dal 2018, Dánielfy Gergely reached the Hungarian national final with Azt mondtad (Pre HUN18) and also received the Discovery of A Dal 2018 award.

On 27 August, Dánielfy takes over the Budapest Park Main Stage, and the list of special guests once again includes Parno Graszt, whose Már nem szédülök (Pre HUN16) reached the A Dal final two years earlier.
The gates open at 18:00, with KACAJ also appearing during the evening.
Two ‘A Dal’ connections – one former couple – in Újpest: no ticket will be needed for the final Eurovision-connected weekend of August. On 29 August, the Újpest City Days programme features Tolvai Reni and Kállay-Saunders András back-to-back.
Tolvai Reni entered Hungary’s Eurovision selection several times. She reached the semi-finals of A Dal 2016 with Fire (Pre HUN16) and returned in 2018 with Crack My Code (Pre HUN18).
Her free concert on Szent István Square starts at 16:00.
Running towards Újpest – there will not be much time for a stage change: at 16:55, Kállay-Saunders András takes over. After several attempts, he finally won A Dal in 2014 with Running (HUN14) and went on to finish 5th at the Eurovision Song Contest in Copenhagen — one of Hungary’s best-ever results in the competition.
His performance at Újpest City Days is also free to attend.
Tomorrow will be a little jazzier – the final Eurovision-connected programme of August takes us back to an earlier chapter of Hungary’s contest history.
Charlie represented Hungary in Birmingham with A holnap már nem lesz szomorú (HUN98), finishing 23rd in the 1998 Grand Final.
On 30 August, however, this will not be a traditional Eurovision-style concert: Charlie appears as a special guest of the Gypsy Jazz Band, alongside Kata Csondor (Pre HUN17), at the Theatre Hall of Klebelsberg Cultural Centre.
The concert begins at 19:30, giving our August programme a decidedly jazzier finale.
