On December 13, 2025, at 17:00 (CET), European Broadcasting Union (EBU) and Georgian public broadcaster GPB will host in Tbilisi, the capital of Georgia. Get ready for the broadcast with us and watch the kids’ song contest again here!

Georgia is hosting Junior Eurovision for the second time, after Andria Putkaradze won last year’s junior song contest in Spain with the song To My Mom. To kick off the competition week, a private reception was held for the 18 performers participating in the competition on December 8, 2025, at the Pullman Tbilisi Axis Towers in Tbilisi. For the second time, the event was not recorded or broadcast by the official channel of the competition. However, it should be noted that Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2025 is the first in the history of the music show to not accept any form of press accreditation (in 2024, only representatives of the local press and fan portals were allowed to attend the contest in Madrid).

Georgia is now the most successful country in the history of Junior Eurovision, after scoring victory for a fourth time in 2024, courtesy of Andria Putkaradze with his song To My Mom. He followed in the winning footsteps of Bzikebi with Bzz.. (2008), Candy and Candy Music (2011), and Mariam Mamadashvili with Mzeo (2016).

About the hosts, running order and voting for the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2025 in Tbilisi

On October 1, 2025, the organizing broadcasters announced that broadcasters representing 18 countries would be able to participate in the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2025 in Tbilisi. This year, Azerbaijan (last participation: 2021), Croatia (last participation: 2014) and Montenegro (last participation: 2015) are returning to the competition, but Estonia and Germany have withdrawn from the Georgian-organized continental competition for young people. Although the number of participants in 2025 will not break any records, it will be the highest number of participants in the competition since 2021.

Martin Green, Director of the Junior Eurovision Song Contest, said:

“We are thrilled to welcome 18 talented young artists and their delegations to Tbilisi. The Junior Eurovision Song Contest is a unique showcase of youthful creativity and cultural diversity, and every year it reminds us of the boundless energy and imagination of Europe’s next generation.

Our thanks go to GPB for their dedication and creativity in preparing a stunning stage and artwork for what will be an unforgettable event.

We can’t wait to share this magical experience with the world in December.”

Natia Mshvenieradze, Executive Producer for GPB added:

“It is a great honour to welcome you all to our beautiful country, Georgia.

We are proud to host Europe’s most joyful and inspiring music event already for the second time. This year’s show will be the result of months of dedication, creativity, and teamwork, bringing together the very best of our production, stage design, and technical excellence.

We warmly welcome the 18 participating broadcaster delegations and extend our kindest wishes to their young representatives.

Welcome again and let the magic of music unite us all!”

The venue and the presenters

On October 1, JuniorEurovision.tv confirmed that the competition would be held in a smaller hall at the Olympic Palace, but due to technical reasons, the venue for the continental event was changed to the Gymnastic Hall of Olympic City, which can accommodate 1,294 people, with the date set for November 25, 2025.

The Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2025 will have two hosts: David Aladashvili and Liza Tsiklauri will welcome everyone to their screens on the Saturday in December when the contest takes place.

David is regularly seen as a host on a variety of music programmes on GPB, and he also serves as the Artistic Director of the Tbilisi National Youth Palace.

As well as his career in TV presenting, David is also a highly accomplished musician. He began studying piano at the age of 11, and at 15 he was admitted into the prestigious Tbilisi Special Music School, where he received Georgia’s Presidential Scholarship for Piano Performance. Since then, he has studied at The Juilliard School in New York City, made his Carnegie Hall debut with a solo recital at Weill Recital Hall and released many acclaimed albums to perform at his concerts across the world.

Liza is a Georgian TV presenter and journalist. She began her journalism career in 2008 and has been anchoring news programmes since 2014.

Over the years, she has hosted numerous major national and international events, concerts, and television specials, including New Year’s Eve gala concerts, the EuroBasket 2022 opening ceremony, the Honorary Citizen of Tbilisi awards ceremony and many many more.
